QC conducts declogging operations 

As Typhoon Chedeng continues to gain strength in the Philippine waters, the District Action Offices and QC Engineering Department are working tirelessly to clean and clear drains and waterways across the city. Their efforts aim to prevent severe flooding during heavy rainfall.

The declogging operations were carried out in various districts as follows:

District 1: Cleanup and declogging operations were conducted in Palali, Tabayoc, Bingo, and Don Jose streets in Barangay Sienna, as well as Macopa and Calamba streets in Barangay Sto. Domingo. The initiative was led by the District 1 Action Office in collaboration with the Engineering Department. Mr. Oliviere "Ollie" Belmonte, the Action Officer, spearheaded the efforts.

District 2: Drainage declogging took place in Kasunduan Extension, Barangay Commonwealth. The District 2 Action Office worked hand in hand with the Engineering Department to carry out the operations. Atty. Enrile "Bong" Teodoro, the Action Officer, oversaw the activities.

District 4: The District 4 Action Office, together with the Engineering Department, conducted drainage declogging in Women's Club Street, Barangay San Isidro Galas. Mr. Alberto "Al" Flores led the team as the Action Officer.

District 5: Declogging operations were implemented in Walnut Street, Barangay Fairview; Amethyst Street, Green Heights Subdivision, Barangay San Bartolome; and Remarville Avenue, Barangay Bagbag. The District 5 Action Office collaborated with the Engineering Department to ensure the success of the operations. Mr. William Bawag served as the Action Officer.

These intensive efforts are crucial in mitigating the potential impact of Typhoon Chedeng. By clearing the canals and water pathways, the risk of severe flooding is significantly reduced. The coordinated actions of the District Action Offices and the QC Engineering Department demonstrate the commitment of Quezon City's local government in ensuring the safety and welfare of its residents.
