Belmonte empowers QCitizens during People's Day celebration
Mayor Joy Belmonte, together with District 5 Action Officer William Bawag, listened to various concerns and suggestions of QCitizens during the recent People's Day in District 5. The event was held in celebration of the Day of the Citizen and was an opportunity for residents to voice out their issues and concerns to the local government.
Among the concerns raised by the residents were housing, land use, and the need for additional community structures. Mayor Joy and Officer Bawag were able to provide solutions and address the concerns raised by the community. The mayor emphasized the importance of working hand in hand with the residents and the local government to come up with effective solutions that will benefit the entire community.
Aside from addressing the concerns of the residents, Mayor Joy also swore in the newly-elected officials of various organizations in the district. These organizations include the District V Gender and Development (GAD), Urban Farmers for Empowerment & Economic Development of District 5, Urban Farmer Federation of Novaliches Proper, Kapit Bigkis ng Villareal Neighborhood Association, Samahang Magkakapitbahay na Nagkakaisa (SAMAGBANAI) HOA Inc., and Buklod Kababaihan ng Sitio Regalado.
The swearing-in ceremony was a testament to the mayor's commitment to empowering and supporting local organizations that promote the welfare of the community. The newly-elected officials expressed their gratitude to the mayor and vowed to work tirelessly to address the concerns and needs of the residents.
