JCI recognizes Belmonte as 2023 Pinay Power Awardee

The JCI Quezon City Capitol recognized Mayor Joy Belmonte as the 2023 Pinay Power Awardee for her dedication to public service and advocacy for programs that benefit women. The award was presented to Mayor Joy during the 62nd Turnover and Induction Ceremonies at Elements Centries.

In her keynote speech, Mayor Joy challenged the JCI and other non-government organizations to work closely with the local government to create programs that can truly make a difference and improve the lives of QCitizens, particularly those from marginalized sectors. She emphasized the importance of collaboration and the need to empower women through education, health, and livelihood programs.

The Pinay Power Award is a recognition given by the JCI Quezon City Capitol to outstanding women who have made significant contributions in their respective fields and have served as role models for other women. Mayor Joy's advocacy for women's rights and empowerment, and her efforts to promote gender equality in the city, have earned her this prestigious award.
