QC employees participate in simultaneous earthquake drill

The employees of the Local Government of Quezon City showed their readiness for earthquakes by participating in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) led by the QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office at QC Hall.

The drill included various disaster and accident scenarios that they are preparing for, such as fire suppression, high angle rescue, clearing of debris, Alternative Temporary Shelter, setting up Treatment and Triage facilities, distribution of hot meals, Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis, Management of the Dead and the Missing, and looting incidents.

During the drill, the QC DRRM Council members, along with employees from various departments including the Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Engineering, Parks Development and Administration Department, Department of Sanitation QC, City Health Department, Social Services Development Department, Department of Building Official, Department of the Interior and Local Government QC, Department of Public Order and Safety, Traffic and Transport Management Department, and QC Police District, demonstrated effective action.

Through this drill, the employees of the Local Government of Quezon City have shown their commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of the citizens of the city in the face of disasters and emergencies.
