Quezon City Protection Center Earns Praise from Asian Development Bank

Quezon City Protection Center (QCPC) received notable recognition for its services when it welcomed representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The purpose of the meeting was to delve into the extensive range of services provided by QCPC, which has been selected as a blueprint for creating one-stop crisis centers in various provinces and cities throughout Thailand. Delegates from Thailand are scheduled to pay a visit to QCPC to learn from its successful methods and replicate them in their respective areas.

The QCPC serves as a vital one-stop-shop and support hub for children, women, and members of the LGBTQIA community who have experienced violence and abuse. It has earned a reputation as a safe haven for those in need, providing essential services and support.

Mayor Joy Belmonte, along with key officials from the ADB, including Claire Luczon, Randy Dacanay, and Maya Tamayo, joined the meeting. Janet Oviedo, the Head of the QC Gender and Development Council Technical Working Group (TWG), was also present.
